Spoilers - This book should be named "Lust Lust" not "Love Love". I found this book exasperating. At times it appeared it was going to get better and then it would go to the stupid side again. Gabby is beyond infuriating. She has the mentality of a 15 year old teenage boy in heat. All she thinks about is sex. Someone please hose her down! This obsession is mentioned from the get go of the book and never stops. I started to wonder if the author was a big fan of "Sex In The City" and decided to incorporate that concept into this book. Dear author, it is acceptable and maybe cute to mention character trait once in the book, but to go on and on is just maddening. Gabby's obsession with candy! Gabby should be the size of a house with the frequency of which she consumes candy, chocolate and high calory coffee. Gabby's klutziness was the final straw for me. To say this girl could not walk across a flat surface is being kind. This went on beyond being cute. It was downright tiresome. With all the coffee, hers and every person she came in contact with, spilled on her she must have an outrageous drycleaning bill. It was to the point that I was looking at my Kindle and saying, Really! She bumped, fell, toppled into someone else with coffee or a drink in their hand every time she stepped out of her apartment. Fran, Brad, and even Dane talk about what a great and wonderful person Gabby is, but she was not written that way. Gabby was an immature and annoying character.

Clark is the ghost boyfriend that was ever present. Dane was the hot cheating jerk who Gabby basically wanted to jump into bed with right away, and almost did. Well, she did wait unit the second date. I kept wondering if they were using protection. It wasn't mentioned. Considering the dog he turned out to be, let's hope they were. You feel bad for the woman who ends up with Dane because you know he will aways cheat. I didn't enjoy the storyline when it involved Dane. I liked Brad. I know several other reviews thought he was a nerd and wimpy, but I really liked him. He is good guy. He is described as good looking too. His superhero references were fun because they were kind of tongue and cheek. When Gabby pulled that stunt of backing away from him because she was afraid of losing him, I knew she needed serious help then. Here is a guy that you can tell is totally in love with her and then she basically breaks up with him because she cannot get her head out of her past. Again, looking at my Kindle going, What? She is crying and falling apart wanting Fran to baby her. I am, again looking at my Kindle, saying you caused this unnecessary mess yourself. Why are you crying and falling apart? Gabby was so obsessed with Clark that she could not see that Brad has a lot of the same characters qualities that she loved in Clark. Fran was a good friend to Gabby, but she has sex on the brain too. The problem with Fran was she has a serious guy but keeps commenting on every hot guy. Give it a rest. You keeping hoping Fran will slap weepy Gabby and tell her to move on and have a life. Gabby's family was a waste of words. Liked Matt, he is a good brother.

I agreed with other reviews. If you take the sex out of this book it could have been written for young teens. One reviewer could not believe someone gave a one star review, I could. I have a difficult time believing so many readers gave this book five stars. To each her own. This book had potential, but took a juvenile turn. Since I am the owner of Beth Michele other Amazon books, I have high hopes I will enjoy them more.

Love Love edition by Beth Michele Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Love Love is a feel-good, romantic comedy-type that makes you "aww"! It is sprinkled with emotional moments sad, happy, funny - a nice mix that makes it a perfect weekend read.

Gabby is a complicated character - who wouldn't be after losing the love of their life? - but she is oddly relatable and likable, even with what she's been through. She's no pushover - she knows what she wants, and she goes for it. Her great loves are coffee, chocolate, candy, Converse and Clark. When one of these things is permanently removed from her life, she is left with a sadness that she can only numb and nothing else.

What better to numb the pain than a fling? Enter Dane. As far as Dane's storyline... well, I was kind-of waiting for something that never happened. I think he was supposed to be a total player, but something about his interactions with Gabby made me think he was actually a good guy with a bad rap. When [*spoiler alert* he turned out to be engaged, I figured it was the result of a miscommunication or cuckoo ex - but that never came to light. I guess in the end, he really was just a player.]

Brad was Dane's counterpart a true gentleman. He got to know Gabby for who she really was, took care of her when she was sick - the type of man any girl would be lucky to meet. He owns the coffee shop that she frequents and Gabby catches his eye. As they get to know each other, he remembers the tidbits of information Gabby drops. When their relationship starts to develop (slowly, which was nice), he actually does something with those tidbits. Things that made me swoon! He was adorable and just as sugary-sweet as Clark. Between these two, I almost got a toothache.

On a side note I think the cover is perfect for this book and is one of the best I've seen lately. It definitely caught my eye.

My itty-bitty and completely personal gripe like Gabby, I am a SoCal girl who moved to NYC for part of my 20's. Most of the NYC description (not all) painted it as a dirty, smelly place. It can be that way, but in my experience, there's more magic in NYC than anywhere else I've been. Especially in the little coffee shops like Brad's. I'd like to have seen more of this.

Overall, it has my recommendation!
Write a triangle story where one guy is the villain. Treat him as an insignificant jerk by not paying attention as he tells you his hopes and dreams. Think he's conceited but tell him nothing about yourself and think of your dead boyfriend when you're around him. Gee. I wonder who she will choose. Then make the other guy a hero. Not prejudiced much. By thirty percent I was disgusted and skipped ahead. Yup. Just what I thought. Next time make it a real competition where the other guy makes her choice hard.
